This has been a remarkable year for Black Rock. We opened our doors May 26th 2019, sharing Kehinde Wiley’s magnificent vision with our friends from near and far. In August 2019 we launched the inaugural year of the Black Rock Senegal artist residency, welcoming the first 3 artists to live and make work on the compound. As of today, we have hosted 15 artists working in literature, multimedia, painting, photography, sculpture and textiles.
